CATHERINE SCHRIMPER SUCCUMBS IN HOSPITAL
Mrs. Catherine Schrimper died at 3:30 this morning in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born in Marion and had lived here, it is said practically all her life time. Mrs. Schrimper was more than fifty years old and her husband died several years ago, since which time she has continued to live in a cottage at South Sixth street and Third avenue.
Several days ago it was noticed that she had not emerged from the home for some time. In investigation was made and she was discovered seriously ill. She was taken to the hospital at that time.
She has one brother William in Chicago. He has been notified. No relatives live in this community, as far as can be learned.

Schrimper Funeral Saturday.
Funeral services for Miss[sic] Catherine Schrimper, who died at a Cedar Rapids hospital Thursday, will be held at the St. Joseph's Catholic church Saturday at 9 a.m. The Rev. Father Maurice O'Callaghan will read the funeral mass and burial will be made in Oak Shade.
