Mrs. Mark Hershey.
Mary Jane Hershey, 71, wife of Mark Hershey, of 1217 Fifteenth st. SE, a Cedar Rapids resident for 45 years, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home at 1:05 p.m Sunday following a long illness. Born in Nebraska March 17, 1887, she was married on Jan. 19, 1952.
Surviving are her husband; a sister, Elizabeth Bishop of Chula Vista, Calif.; 2 brothers, Clarence and Grover Mahanna of Iowa City; a stepdaughter, Margaret Irving of Washington, D.C., and 3 stepsons, Clifford C. and Harry H. Hershey, both of Arcadia, Calif., and D.L. Hershey of Phoenix, Ariz.
Services: Beatty-Beurle's at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. L.N. Huffman of the First Assembly of God church. Burial: Oak Hill. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m.
