DIED,
In this City, Monday evening, Mary A., widow of Chas. Nye leaving a family of four children.
Mrs. Nye has been a resident of Marion for about twenty years, and by her uniform christian deportment and neighborly kindness, won the effection[sic] and esteem of a large circle of friends. Although not given to the expression of rapture and confidence which characterize some, still her devoted life and daily christian walk left no doubt of her piety. She died as she lived, humbly trusting her Saviour, and committing herself patiently, hopefully to Him. Long will she be mourned by friends who had learned to love her and much will she be missed by the church of which she was a member, and to whom her humble, consistent piety was an ornament and example.
