Mrs. Eidamiller of Chicago and Miss Amelia Giffert of St. Paul are in the city being called here by the illness and death of their father, Wm. Giffert.

William Giffert, an old and respected citizen, died at his home on the Center Point road Monday evening at six o'clock. The funeral services were held at the German Lutheran church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Oak Shade cemetery.
