FUNERAL OF MRS. GATES--
There was a large attendance of sympathizing friends at the funeral of Mrs. John Gates, which was held in St. Paul's M.E. church Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E.J. Lockwood, her former pastor, an d Rev. A.M. Jayne, the present pastor of St. Paul's church. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The interment was made in the family lot in Oak Hill cemetery.
