Joseph R. Maresh, 78, of 1449 Fortieth street NE, died Monday after a long illness.
Born April 18, 181, in Czechoslovakia, he came to Cedar Rapids in 1902. He operated the Maresh Dairy many years and in 1965 he retired from the Quaker Oats Co.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Van Antwerp, Cedar Rapids; a son, Charles Maresh, Minneapolis; three grandchildren, and a sister, Bessie Dlask, Cedar Rapids.
Memorial services: Janeba-Kuba funeral home west at 1:30 Thursday by the Rev. Milo Filipi. Burial: Czech National. Friends may call after 4 Wednesday.
