Obituary of Albert Torrence.
Albert Torrence was born near Marion, March 22, 1845. He lived practically all his life in the vicinity of his birth place.
In 1873 he was married to Julia Williams, who died one year later. He was again married in 1877 to Hattie A. Powell. There were two children born to this union. They are Mrs. Laura B. White of St. Paul, Minn., and J. Omer Torrence of Kenwood park, all of whom, with his wife survive. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Martha Hauskins, Waterloo; Mrs. Elvira Herbert, Louisiana; Mrs. Cerefina Peck, Rowley and Hiram, Hattie and Julia Torrence of Brandon.
Mr. Torrence was taken ill Sept. 11, of last year and since then had declined in health. He united with the Methodist Episcopal church in 1894 and had remained a faithful member.
