RESTS PEACEFULLY.
Mr. Ormus Clark after an active life of more than half a century in Linn County most of the time at his country home in the Wapsy[sic] Valley now rests peacefully in the cemetery at Centr[al] City.
He was born October 1st, 1822 a[t] Salisbury, Indiana. In 1824 his parents moved to Michigan. In 1839 they came to Linn county and settled on a tract of land located south of the Wapsy river near which Central City has since been built. Here he labored and prospered and lived until the year 1900 when, his wife having died, he came to Marion and has since made his home here with his son, P.O. Clark. A daughter, Mrs. Edith Cunningham lives at Buchanan, Iowa.
He lived to be four score and seven years, three months and nine days old.
