Elmer F. Rupe, 84, of 1050 Fourth Ave. SE, died Monday, July 10, 1995, in St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Turner Chapel East, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate.
Survivors include three daughters, Priscilla Andersen of Cedar Rapids, Sara Rupe of Minneapolis and Gretchen Hendrie of Chicago; a sister, Irene Keller of Mechanicsville; and two brothers, Harvey of Cedar Rapids and Raymond of Tipton.
Also surviving are a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Elmer was born June 6, 1911, in Haywarden, and married Margaret Beving on June 4, 1938. She died in 1980. HE was a welder with FMC for 27 years until his retirement in 1976.
