Former Resident of Marion Dead
John F. Webb, farmer and dairyman in the neighborhood of Marion for most of his life, died at the University hospital at Iowa City, early Tuesday morning, following a lingering illness.
Mr. Webb was born in this county February 27, 1866, and is survived by a wife and eight children. After leaving the farm he moved to a place in the suburbs of Cedar Rapids. One of his daughters is Alta May Metcalf of Marion. Another, Florence, resides at home. Harry Earl Webb lives in Des Moines and Milas at Toddville; the other four, Cato, Milo, Thomas and Edward, all live in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon from a Cedar Rapids chapel in charge of the Rev. Burton L. Nay, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and burial will be made in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion.
