Helen I. Stone, 67, fo 400 Lindale Dr., Marion, wife of Oren H. Stone, and a resident of Marion for the past 17 years, died Tuesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital following an extended illness.
Born April 23, 1910, at Bloomington, Ill., she was married to Oren H. Stone Oct. 17, 1929 at Altheimer, Ark.
Mrs. Stone was employed as a sales person for a number of years prior to her illness, in retail sales. She was a member of the Marion Christian church.
Survivors are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Paul Saylor of Hiawatha and Mrs. Rick Morehouse of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Jess Spicher of Virignia, and two sisters, Hazel Powers of Vinton, and June Rodgers in Arkansas; and three grandchildren.
Services were held at the Baxter Memorial chapel in Marion Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Tom Anthony and Rev. Phillip E. Ewoldsen. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery.
