Jessie M. Rundquist, 82, of 921 Ninth St. and a resident of Marion and Cedar Rapids for the past 40 years, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Thursday, July 15, in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born the daughter of James and Addie Garland Blackburn on Oct. 4, 1882 at Royal, Neb. On Aug. 26, 1908 at Royal, Neb. she was married to Albert H. Rundquist, who passed away on Oct. 5, 1959 at Quasqueton, Ia. The Rundquists lived in Quasqueton for 18 months. Mrs. Rundquist was a member of the First Methodist Church of Marion.
Surviving are two sons, Donald of Chicago, Ill. and Garland of Oakland, Calif., three daughters, Mrs. Emmett (Ruth) Zollars of Shenandoah, Mrs. Lloyd (Jessamine) Sliker of Minong, Wis., and Mrs. Allen (Evelyn) McKean of Marion; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and two brothers, Arthur Blackburn of Royal, Neb. and Ray Blackburn of Langford, S.D. A brother, Ralph, preceded her in death.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by Rev. Ray C. Howland. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery.
