Rites Thursday for Helen Schutterle, 72
Helen M. Schutterle, 72, of Rock Island, a former resident of 1155 Fourth avenue, Marion, died Sunday. She was born Feb. 19, 1900[sic], at Venita[sic], Okla. She was married to George Taylor on March 28, 1915, at Ottumwa. He died in 1953. She was married to Jacob Schutterle who died in 1965. She was a member of the First Baptist church.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Averine Harris of Coal Valley, Ill.; three sons, Estel V. Taylor of Green Bay, Wis., Alan H. Taylor of Hiawatha, and Robert W. Taylor of Rock Island; 23 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Services: Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Baxter Memorial chapel by the Rev. Lyle W. Lee. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel Tuesday until 9 p.m. and Wednesday after 3 p.m.
