Marion Register Monday Nov. 9, 1908
Mr. Charles Dumont, the well known Marion furniture dealer, accompanied by his son went to St. Louis on a business trip, Wednesday. Saturday night a message came that he was dead. The news was a great surprise to every one and many would not believe the report until it was verified. He had been at his store up to the day he left attending to his business as usual for years. His next door neighbors did not know he was ill.
