Mrs. Lillian Reiter Dies at Family Home
Mrs. Lillian E. Reither, 70, died Thursday at 6:50 a.m. at the family residence, 753 Sixth avenue, after a long illness.
Born Oct. 30, 1871, at Maquoketa, the daughter of Martin P. and Maria Jenkins Baker, she came to Marion 55 years ago. She was married Sept. 26, 1917, at Marshalltown to Clarence E. Reiter who survives.
She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Comforter division of the W.S.C.S. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Phillip B. Lutz of Griffin, Ga., a daughter, Mrs. Bess Lutz Gordon of Milwaukee and a step daughter, Mrs. Gladys Reiter Georges of Savanna, Ill. Six grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Moller of Independence, also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Yocom chapel by the Rev. Arthur W. Henke. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
