Two brothers and a sister have preceded him in death.
He united with the Presbyterian church in Marion a number of years ago following the Evangelistic meetings held by Evangelist Manhood. He had been a faithful member through the years and at the time of his removal to California held the office of deacon. He moved to California in August, 1923, and resided at Santa Ana, where he died Dec. 23, after a brief illness. He was 53 years, 2 months and 27 days of age.
Funeral services for G.A. Kester were held at the home of Mr. Chris Johnson, 439 Eighth avenue, on last Wednesday afternoon, in charge of Rev. Earle A. Baker. Interment was at Oak Shade cemetery.
