Pioneer Marion Lady Died Sunday Evening

Mrs. Amanda Florence Holsinger, widow of Jacob B. Holsinger, passed awy Sunday afternoon, after a stroke of paralysis a week ago. Mrs. Holsinger was 83 years of age.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Albaugh, and was born on a farm in Monroe township, one of a family of ten children. In 1874, she and Mr. Holsinger were married and begun their life together on a farm northwest of Marion, where they lived until 1909 when they moved to Marion. Mr. Holsinger died in 1927.
Mrs. Holsinger was the mother of four sons, Frank, George, Earl and Fred, all of whom survive, except Frank, who died in 1903. She is also survived by several grandchildren, a brother, Tom Albaugh of Nevada, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Prudence Stamy, of Flora, Indiana.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 o'clock, p.m., from the Yocom chapel, with Dr. John M. Walters, pastor of the Methodist church, in charge. Mrs. H.G. Stitzel and Mrs. Glenn Pyle, accompanied by Miss Edna Roberts, furnished music. The pallbearers were C.R. Albaugh, Wilbur Albaugh, Dan Stamy and Earl Miller. Interment was in Oak Shade.
