Holsinger Rites Held on Monday
Earl W. Holsinger, a former resident of Marion, passed away at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 8, at a Jewell nursing home.
The son of Jacob B. and Amanda Albaugh Holsinger, he was born on a farm near Marion on Aug. 13, 1883. On Nov. 24, 1907 he was married at Robins, to Vern Howard. Mr. and Mrs. Holsinger moved to Webster City twenty years ago. He was a retired sheet metal worker at Collins radio company.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters: Mrs. Edgar (Nellie) Templer, Jewell, and Mrs. Earl (Florence) Frederickson, Marion, and a son, Donald M. Holsinger, Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one brother, Fred Holsinger, Mechanicsville.
Memorial services were conducted at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12, at the Murdoch chapel, Marion by the Rev. Herbert G. Kohl, pastor of the Marion Christian church. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
