Helen L. Burns, 92, of Marion, died Thursday, November 10 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. Services were Monday, Nov. 14 at Murdoch Funeral Home. The Revs. Mark Tuttle and Stanley Wierson officiated.
Surviving is a son, Lee Robert Burns of Marion...
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died July 16, 1961.
Helen was born October 5, 1902, and married Robert P. Burns, September 22, 1925. She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, Marion, where she served on many committees and ladies circles; a member of Eastern Star; and a 65-year member of Woman's Relief Corps.
A memorial fund has been established for First United Methodist Church, Marion.
