Dies In Depot Waiting For Train
Merrill C. Brundage, 59, a railroad employee for nearly 40 years, died in the Milwaukee depot here while waiting for a train early Monday morning.
Born Sept. 29, 1889, at Nortonsville[sic], Kan., he was the son of James and Josephine Frances Brundge. He came to Marion about 30 years ago from Chicago. On Dec. 28, 1922, he married Mabelle Wescott at Iowa City.
Services were held in the Yocom chapel Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., with the Rev. C.V.R DeJong officiating. Masonic services were conducted by Trojan Lodge No. 548, A.F. & A.M., of which he was a member.
Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Hall, Joseph {can't read], Jerry Monn, Ernest [can't read]
Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. [can't read] of Milwaukee, Wis.; two brothers, Harry of Chicago and Herman, of Whiting, Kan.
