Leota Scovel Chi. Woman Buried Here
Leota Scovel, a former Cedar Rapids resident passed away Wednesday, March 20, in Chicago following a long illness.
She was born, Leota Stick, daughter of John and Laura Moothart Stick, May 27, 1898 at Alburnett.
Surviving are two brothers, Lee and Ralph Stick, and four sisters, Lola and Martina Stick, Elva Vanderbilt and Vida Young, all of Chicago.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Roy P. Fields, jr., pastor of the Marion Christian church. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
