Ellyne S. Plotz, 80, of 1485 Grand Ave., Marion, died Friday afternoon in Crestview Acres following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 6, 1906, in Madrid, and married Edwin A. Plotz on June 7, 1924, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1959. Mrs. Plotz was a member of First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren in Cedar Rapids, O.E.S. Cedar Chapter 184 and past president of Gold Star Mothers.
Surviving are two sons, William of St. Petersburg, Fla., and James of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Viva Zingula and Irene Nedrow, both of Marion; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Murdoch Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Jerry Springston. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
