Delilah Ives, 93, of 845 14th St., and a lifelong resident of the Marion community, passed away at 11:03 p.m. Friday, March 21, in a Cedar Rapids hospital. She was born the daughter of Joseph and Myra Cannedy[sic] Scott on Nov. 11, 1875 on a farm southeast of Marion. On Nov. 11, 1896 at Marion she was married to John R. Ives, who passed away on Dec. 13, 1920. Mrs. Ives was a member of the First United Methodist church of Marion.
Surviving are a son, Harley Ives of Marion; two grandchildren, Mrs. Jeanne Beeson and Mrs. Jack (Mary) Gill of Marion; three great grandchildren and a brother, Gerald Scott of Mt. Vernon.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 24 at the Murdoch Chapel
