Estella E. Fevery Rites Wednesday
Services for Estella E. Fevery, 82, who died at 5:30 Monday morning, were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church Wednesday at 9 a.m. Rev. T.J. McElliott conducted the services.
Born March 31, 1866, near Center Point, she was the daughter of David and Emily Gott Maddox. She moved to Marion when she was nine years old, and except for about 20 years at Cedar Rapids and Ft. Madison, she lived here ever sinec.
On March 6, 1922, she married Emil Fevery at Cedar Rapids and the couple moved to Marion in 1938. They operated a grocery store here until Mr. Fevery's death on May 9, 1939.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nettie Stobaugh, of Marion and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.
Pallbearers at the funeral were E.A. Lagerquist, I.V. Brockman, Emery Miller and Will Redmond. Burial was in Oak Shade cemetery. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Hugh Churchill.
