Mrs. Anna Crouse Died Friday After An Extended Illness
Mrs. Anna Crouse, 84, died at 8:30 a.m., Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl L. Booze, 986 Seventh street, Marion. She had been ill for a lengthy period.
The widow of Granville T. Crouse, she was born June 14, 1860 in Maryland, and came to Iowa in 1891.
Mrs. Crouse was a second cousin of Francis Scott Key, composer of "The Star Spangled Banner".
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Booze, with whom she had made her home for some years, is a granddaughter, Mrs. Margaret McCann, of Dubuque, and a grandson, Norman Crouse, serving in the armed forces.
Funeral services were held from the Turner chapel in Cedar Rapids at 3:30 Saturday afternoon, and interment was in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion.
