Dr. Lewis C. Dow, 72, Dies Suddenly
Dr. Lewis C. Dow, 72, died suddenly at 8:05 a.m. Thursday at his home, 1875 Eighth avenue. He would have begun his 52nd year in the practice of dentistry in Marion Thursday.
Born Dec. 10, 1877, at Port Byron, Ill., he was graduated from Western college, Washington, Ia., and from the Northwestern university dental school.
He was married to Miss Alice Lillie at Marion Setp. 14, 1904.
He was a member of the Marion Congregational church, a past master and past treasurer of Trojan lodge 548, A.F. and A.M., and past treasurer of the Iowa State Dental Association.
Surviving in addition to hiw wife are two sons, Charles Dow, Port Washington, N.Y., and James Dow, Iowa City; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Fenton, Norwalk, Conn.; seven grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Grace McMichael, Port Byron, Ill.
Services will be conducted at the Yocom-Murdoch chapel at a time to be announced later. Friends may call at the chapel after noon Friday.
