Cora I. Starks, 97, formerly of Marion, and a resident of Florida the last five and one-half years, died in Lake Seminole Hospital at Seminole, Fla. The daughter of John T. and Rebecca Jane Miller, she was born on Aug. 12, 1884 in Pennsylvania. On Sept. 3, 1914 at Marion, she was married to George E. Starks, who died on April 11, 1963, at Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Starks was a member of the First United Methodist Church, of Marion, and the Womens Relief Corps.
Surviving are a son, Gene Starks of Clearwater, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m., April 2, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Nick Longworth of the First United Methodist church. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
