Services Held for Elizabeth Roberts

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Yocom chapel for Mrs. Elizabeth Roberts, 82, the mother of Mrs. E.E. Godwin, 1535 Ninth avenue. Mrs. Roberts died suddenly Saturday night at her home from a heart attack.
Elizabeth Williams was born May 1, 1854[sic], in North Wales, the daughter of Edward and Ellen Williams. In 1884 she was married to the Rev. R.P. Roberts and they immediately came to the United States, living first in Pennsylvania. They later moved to Iowa, where Mr. Roberts served as pastor in Welsch {can't read]. He died in 1931. Besides Mrs. Godwin, Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son, Dr. E.P Roberts of Baltimore. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E.T. Gough, pastor of the Methodist church.
