Robert Simon, 88, a resident of Independence for 53 years, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday at an Independence hospital.
He was born July 25, 1892, in Linn County.
Surviving are seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Roy E. Moran of First Covenant Church. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
