Rites Monday For Albert Dean
Albert K. "Ab" Dean, 66, 1250 Eighth st., Marion, died Friday in a Cedar Rapids hospital after a brief illness.
Born at Marion Sept. 19, 1891, he had always lived here. He had been employed in the maintenance department of the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company, before he retired July 1.
He was married to Lavina Driscoll at Cedar Rapids Sept. 19, 1948. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and of the Rosary society.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are 2 sons, Donald L.D. Dean of Marion and Bazel Del Dean of Cedar Rapids and 2 daughters, Mrs. Lance (Rachel) Rubek of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Charles (DeVee) Warner of Marion, and a sister, Dorcas Dean of Marion.
The Rosary society will meet at the Murdoch chapel Sunday at 8 p.m.
Services at St. Joseph's church at 9 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel Sunday at 1 p.m.
