Ray Franklin Milburn, the son of Charles and Matilda, was born in Linn county, Iowa, June 5, 1894, and has always lived in that county. In 1913 he was united in marriage with Miss Blanche Todd, and to this union was born one child Vineta. The short life of Mr. Milburn was ended October 13, 1918 at his home, due to influenza. Burial was made at Shiloh, the Rev. S. L. Gilkison officiating.
Mr. Milburn leaves six sisters, two brothers, five half brothers, and one half sister, all of whom live in Linn county, excepting one brother who is in service in France. Ray was the first of the family to follow his mother in death.
Mr. Milburn was a faithful son, a devoted companion and a good neighbor.
