Funeral services for Mrs. Anna M. Greer will be conducted from Yocom chapel at 4 p.m. Friday by Rev. James P. Gable. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
Mrs. Greer died July 31 at her home, 1385 Twelfth street, Marion, after several weeks illness.
She was born December 10, 1860, near Monticello, Iowa. She attended Cornell College and spent several years teaching in the public schools. On March 6, 1884 she was married to William J. Greer. They located near Lyle, Minn., where they continued to reside until 1892 when the family came to Alburnett, Iowa and 1899 to Marion. Mr. Greer died Feb. 9, 1938.
She was an active member of the Methodist church until physical handicaps interfered with this work, but her interest continued.
Surviving are two children, Sheldon W. Greer, Houston, Texas, James R. Greer, New Orleans, La.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie. B. Cowan, of Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. Laura C. Gillmore, Marion, and one brother Mark S. Hickman, of Marion. A daughter, Chloe Greer Stocker, preceded her in death.
