N.H. Richards, M.D., formerly of this city, died suddenly in Almosa [sic], Colo., yesterday. No particulars are available at this time. The deceased was a son of Daniel and Sarah A. Richards late of Fayette township, and with whom he lived until a young man when he became closely identified with the public schools of the county, having served two terms as county superintendent of schools.
Besides his wife, Jennie Brazelton Richards, the deceased leaves four brothers: L.W. and D.W. of Cedar Rapids, J.H. of Tacoma, Wash., and L.G. of Fowlerton, Ind. Also three sisters--Mrs. E.T. Blackburn and Mrs. M.E. Wilson of Kearney, Neb., and Mrs. A.S. Bloodgood, of Harvey, Ill.
The remains will arrive in Marion this evening and the funeral services will be held in the Masonic Temple Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The service will be conducted by Rev. S.R. Beatty pastor of the M.E. Church. Interment in Oak Shade cemetary [sic] by the side of his son.
