Weis Rites--Serviecs for Lewis W. Weis, who died Friday, will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church by the Rev. D. Huber, jr. Burial: Oak Shade. Friends may, if they wish, contribute to the St. Paul's church memorial fund. Friends may call at the chapel.

Lewis W. Weis, 80, a farmer and lifelong resident of the rural Marion area, passed away Friday morning, October 16, 1970, at his home where he was born and had lived all his life, four miles northeast of Marion.
He was born the son of Lewis and Gertrude Lieb Weis on October 1, 1890. On October 8, 1919 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was married to Ella Popenhagen. Weis was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Wilma) Conley of Marion; and a granddaughter, Janet Conley of Marion. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Services were held at 1:30 Monday, Oct. 19, 1970, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion. Conducted by: Pastor John D. Huber, Jr. Internment: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. Friends may, if they wish, contribute to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
