Clifford C. Beall, 77, of 1807 5th Ave. and a resident of Marion for the past 68 years, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, June 2, in a Cedar Rapids hospital. He was born the son of Rev. J.M. and Izora Craven Beall on March 4, 1889 at Raymond, Ia. On Jan. 15, 1914 he was married to Mina Turner at Cedar Rapids, Ia. Mr. Beall was a machinist with the Milwaukee Railroad until the shop moved to Atkins. He worked for many years for the City of Marion. Mr. Beall was a member of the First Methodist Church of Marion.
Surviving are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Roland (Gladys) Duclos of Michigan City, Ind., and a brother, Otto Beall of Tacoma, Wash. He was preceded in death by a son, James M. Beall, two brothers, L. Io Beall and William Beall and three sisters, Ertie Carr, Hazel Phillips and Lora Maxson.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 6 at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by Rev. Lloyd C. Kellams. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery.
