Miss Lucie Louise Munier died Tuesday morning at her home, 871 Tenth street, after ten days of critical illness, although she had been in ill health for a number of years.
Miss Munier, who was the daughter of George Theodore and Louise Roy Munier, spent her entire lifetime in Linn county. She was born on a farm northeast of Marion March 27, 1881. Her parents were pioneers in this locality. She was a graduate of Marion high school and was active in the affairs of the Presbyterian church, of which she was a member.
Her father died in 1908 and left alone with her mother, Miss Munier devoted her life to her mother and was her constant companion until 1934 when the mother died. The family moved from the farm home to Marion in 1907.
She is survived by one brother, George Munier, a half-sister, Mrs. Eliza Lavasseur of Wyoming; two nephews, Theodore and Harold Munier; two nieces, Mrs. Austin Coons and Virginia Munier; also two great-nieces and a great-nephew. All her relatives live in this vicinity.
Funeral services are to be held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Yocom chapel, with Dr. W.E. Fisher in charge of the service. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kearns and Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Sebern will sing "In the Garden." Pallbearers will be George Schrimper, George Starks, George Hutton, W.A. Ladd, John Crawford and F.E. Williams. Interment will be made in Oak Shade cemetery.
