MRS. CLARA STRACHAN DIES AT HOME HERE
A resident of this city for many years, Mrs. Clara Lydia Strachan, 323 Third avenue west, died at a local hospital at 9 a.m. today following a short illness. She was born in Whitehall, N.Y., October 14, 1862, and was united in marriage May 9, 1886, to Frank Liddle of Exira, Iowa. Surviving children of this union are Chester Liddle of this city and Mrs. Hazel K. Spitler of Chicago. Frank Liddle died in 1897, and in 1898, she was married to John Strachan of this city, and to this union was born a daughter, Miss Lydia Strachan of this city. Mrs. Strachan also is survived by her husband and one sister, Mrs. George Willcutt of this city. Mrs. Strachan was a member of the Fraternal Aid Union of Cedar Rapids an until a short time before her death was a member of St. Paul's church. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
