Miss Eda Howeler, a long time Marion resident died Wednesday morning in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a week's illness.
Miss Howeler, who made her home with her brothers Henry and Charles in the home on Blairs Ferry road, fell November 24 on the ice, and failed to regain consciousness. The fall due to a paralytic stroke.
Miss Howeler was a native of Saganaw [sic], Mich., but the family moved to Marion many years ago. She attended Cornell college and was at one time stnographer [sic] in the county offices. She was a regular attendant at the Presbyterian church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at the Yocom chapel, conducted by the Rev. C.V.R. DeJong. Interment will be made in Oak Shade cemetery.
