Henry E. Howeler, 82, for many years an operator of the East Star mill in Marion, died Wednesday evening at his home, 620 First street.
Born June 14, 1868, at Saginaw, Mich., Howeler came to Marion with his family in June 1883. He had been associated with his brother, Charles J., in the operation of the mill since that time.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Yocom-Murdoch funeral home by the Rev. C.V.R. DeJong. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
