SCALDED TO DEATH
Terrible Accident to a Little Child at Springville
Springville, April 14--A most distressing and fatal accident occurred yesterday forenoon at the home of J.W. Courtney, a few miles west of this place. The family washing was being done and the was boiler, containing scalding water, was set upon the floor, the lid being upon the vessel, when little Ivan, son of Mr. Courtney, in playing about sat down upon the boiler. The lid slipped and the little fellow fell backwards into the water and was so severely scalded that he died in three or four hours. Ivan was about four years old and was a bright child. Funeral on Tuesday at half past two o'clock at Simpson chapel.
