Funeral services were held at the Yocom chapel at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, for William H. Emerson, 77 years old, who died at 8 o'clock Thursday evening at an Iowa City hospital. Rev. W. E. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian church, was in charge of the services, and interment was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
Mr. Emerson was a former resident of Marion, and had many friends here who mourn his death. He was born in Dover, Ill., and for the past few years had lived at Decorah. He had never married.
