Guy P. Mundy, 58, a retired Milwaukee railroad carman, died at 1:15 a.m. Monday at his home, 160 Twenty-first street, Marion, after a long illness.
Born April 7, 1890, at Fairview, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mundy, he had lived in Marion 45 years. He retired from the railroad June 19, 1945, because of ill health.
He was married to Olive Thompson at Marion Feb. 8, 1909. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen, the Milwaukee Veterans' Association.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Guy M. Mundy, Solon, and Warren P. Mundy, route 3, Cedar Rapids; two daughter, Mrs. Olive L. Cole, Central City, and Mrs. Ida Marilyn Howe, Marion, and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Yocom chapel by the Rev. Samuel E. Dooty of the Ellis Park Church of God, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
