Stella P. Wiley, 82, a resident of 565 13th street, Marion, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. She was born the daughter of Joseph W. and Henryetta Underwood Taylor on July 31, 1880 in Mahaska County, Iowa.
On February 12, 1902 she was married to Carl L. Wiley at Martelle. The Wileys moved to a farm eight miles N.E. of Marion sixty years ago and to their present home in Marion in 1939. She was a member of the Marion First Methodist Church, Ruth Circle, W.S.C.S., U.S. Circle and the Excelsior Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Catherine) Pfeifer of Waterloo, two grandchildren, Mrs. Jack (Nancy Jo) Huntley of Waterloo and Mrs. Ronald (Patricia) Muller of Waterloo; two great grandchildren, Jeffrey Craig Huntley and Jill Huntley; two brothers, Orville Taylor of Cedar Edge, Colorado, and Fred Taylor of Springville, and two sisters, Mrs. George (Maude) McBride of Marion and Mrs. Guy (Grace) Reed of Independence.
Services, 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by Rev. Ralph E. Baker. Interment, Oak Shade Cemetery
