Wesley Machacek, formerly of 935 Westwood Dr. NW, a Cedar Rapids resident 17 years and a retired farmer, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday (5-14-1961) following a brief illness.

He was born Sept. 27, 1867 (error: 1866) in Czechoslovakia.

Surviving are 5 daughters: Mrs. Ross Shaffer, Walker; Mrs. Orie Long, Coggon; Mrs. C.F. Peremsky, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Malcolm Andrew and Mrs. Kenneth Balderston, both of Alburnett; 4 sons, Charles and Wes J., both of Cedar Rapids; Lumir, Dysart; and Malvin Machacek, Winthrop; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Machacek was a member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge.

Services: Turner Chapel at a time to be announced later. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
