Obituary of Mary E. (Keller) Ball-
Mrs. Mary Ball was found dead in bed on Wednesday morning, December 4 at the home of her son Marshall, with whom she had been making her home for several years. She had not been in the best of health for the past few years, and although her death might have been expected it was a terrible shock to relatives.
Mary Keller was born in Fairfield, Ohio, December 1841. She was married to Marcus Ball April 3, 1861. Mr. Ball preceded her to the better land July 6, 1906. She leaves to mourn her death three sons and one daughter: Marshall L., William W. and Henry F., and Mrs. Esther Hoover.
The funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. C. S. Holland, pastor of the Congregational Church, with interment in Fairview Cemetery. The following acted as pallbearers: Frank Thom, Jarvis Smith, H. C. Unbehaun, Bert, J.H. Risely and Joseph Hekel.
The out-of-town friends sho attended the funeral were Ephraim Keller and wife, and Mrs. L. Peyton, of Walker; Eldridgo Keller and Mrs, Will Fredricks, of Tipton; J. Schaum and wife, of Oelwein; Mrs. Frank Elliott and daughter Bonnie, of Troy Mills; Mrs. Charles Church, of Waterloo; Irvin Keller and wife, Stewart Keller and wife, Edward Keller and wife, Frank Keller and wife and Charles Andrews and wife, of Troy Mills.
