F.J. Notbohm Dies, Funeral is Thursday
Lafayette – Fred J. Notbohm, 82, a lifelong resident of Lafayette, died Monday night in a Marion nursing home.
Born March 26, 1894, at Lafayette, he was a farmer and carpenter until retiring in 1966. He served with the 35th division of the U.S. army during World war I and was a member of Veterans of World war I Barracks 695.
Surviving are a brother, Edgar Notbohm, Alburnett, and two sisters, Mrs. James Hoover and Mrs. Edward Blin of Marion.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Murdoch’s in Marion. Burial: Lafayette cemetery. Friends may call at Murdoch’s after 11 a.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established.
