Center Pt. Rites For Doretta RoseCenter Point – Doretta Rose, 79, a lifelong Linn county resident, died Wednesday, in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born July 23, 1892, at Lafayette. On March 18, 1914, she was married to DeMott Rose at Lafayette.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. John R. Jones of Alburnett, Mrs. Kenneth W. Shaffer of Walker; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Loufek, sr., of Minneapolis, Mrs. James Hoover and Mrs. Edward Blin of Marion; two brothers, Fred J. and Edgar C. Notbohm of Alburnett; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Alice United Methodist church conducted by the Rev. Richard A. Ludden. Burial: Alice cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Murdoch chapel in Center Point.
