Cedar Rapids Gazette-Sunday April 5, 1978-Julius W. Maly, 67, of 18th St. SW, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Saturday after a long illness. He was born Jan 1, 1911 in Ames, IA. and had lived in Cedar Rapids since 1912. He was married to Alice Usher on Aug 19, 1933 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He had been an employee of the Hawkeye Sheet Metal Co. and was a member of the Cedar Rapids Fire Department. He was a member of the Sharon United Methodist church and the Good Fellowship Club of the fire Department. Surviving in addition to his wife, are 2 sons, Ronald of Des Moines, IA and Philip, Davenport, IA.; 5 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Martha Kristan; and a brother, George, both of Cedar Rapids, IA. Services in Janeba-Kuba Funeral Home West by the Rev. Everett Burham of Sharon United Methodist Church. Cremation committal will follow. Burial: Sisley Grove Cemetery.
