Wiliam Clarence Lindsey, 70, formerly of 389 16th Ave SW, died Thursday, Nove. 2, 2006, in Crestview Acres, Marion, after a long illness. Services: 10 am, Monday, Teahen Funeral Home, by the Rev. Bill Harnish. Burial Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 pm. Sunday and after 9 am Monday at Teahen Funeral Home Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Bill is survived by his son, Stephen (Linda) : daughter Theresa (James) Kvidahl; grandchildren Nicole and Chris Lindsey and chad, Eric and Kevin Kvidahl and two great granddaughters, Jada and Catlin, all of Cedar Rapids and 2 sisters, Mabel Bramow of Vinton and Cindy (Merle) Harrisen of Garrison.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, son David, brother George, two sisters, Marie and Lillian and speicial companion Dorothy Bridges.
Bill was born August 7, 1936 in Iowa City to Faye Evern and Marian Elnora Lane Linsey. He married Suzanne Baird and they were later divorced. Bill worked at Wilson's until it's closure then worked a Jack's until retirement due to illness.
Bill will always be remmebered for his great sense of humor. It continued to brighten his his own life and that of family and friends, even throughout the years of his illness. Memorials may be directed to the family.
