Alexander T. Hunter, son of Joseph and Sarah Hunter, was born October 27, 1862, in Linn County, Iowa. He was one of 9 children in the home, only three of whom survive. He was married to Alice Dennison of Center Point, April 2, 1884. To this union was born seven children. Mr. Hunter spent his entire life in and near Center Point. He was taken sick about six weeks ago, and death came April 22, as a relief from his suffering.

He leaves to mourn his loss two brothers, Sam Hunter and Joseph Hunter of Center Point, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Chambers of Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Seven children, Mrs. Robert Kepler, Mrs. Ray Church of Osage. Mrs Ernest Christenson, Marshalltown, Samuel, Willie, Pauline and Eunice of Urbana, Iowa, five grandchildren and many friends.
